Funny Trail Continental

Distance: 10km

Elevation: 280m +/-

Average time: 2h

Trail Info

Easy, but not even a bit less attractive trail is perfect for runners, who are still getting to know trail running. The route, during which you stay on the edge of Triglav National Park, is mostly a wide cart track, but it still gives you the feel of real mountain routes and the view of magnificent mountain Špik in the background.

10 kilometers with start in the center of Kranjska Gora and take you to river Pišnica. You pass the stunning lake Jasna next, where you simply have to hit pause and take a beautiful running selfie. From there you slowly continue towards the route’s highest point. You go through Tofov graben and continue towards Gozd Martuljek. The last segment might be flat, but offers amazing views of the mountains, including the magnificent Špik. The route’s terrain might be easy, but it’s still a beautiful combination of road running, cart tracks and single trails.

The first part of the trail takes you on the same route as the 10 km race. You’ll start in the heart of Kranjska Gora, go to the river Pišnica and then pass the stunning lake Jasna. The route also goes through Tofov graben, but just when the shortest route starts making its way back to Kranjska Gora, you turn right to Gozd Martuljek, where you cross the main road right under the bridge and climb Srednji vrh, while passing the lower Jerman waterfall. That’s where you get a stunning view of the Julian Alps, which will follow you right back to the finish line.
